Yuichiro Nukada, a partner at Anderson Mori & Tomotsune (AM&T), joined AM&T in 2001 and practices in the fields of international transactions, M&A (takeover bids, share acquisitions, business transfers, statutory corporate reorganizations, JVs, general corporate), real estate (J-REIT, TMK), financing, sport (European football clubs) and entertainment.
Experience: His experience in M&A/Corporate area includes advising:
- foreign companies and private equity funds on its acquisition of shares in Japanese public companies (of manufacturing industry and real estate market) including J-REIT through takeover bids
- foreign companies on general corporate matters in relation to their business, business alliance, joint ventures and various activities in Japan
- foreign companies on their global M&A transactions in relation to their integration process of business (of financial industry and wide range of manufacturing industry) in Japan
In addition to his professional experience at AM&T, he worked for the Financial Services Agency of Japan (FSA) where he was in charge of maintaining laws and regulations for modernizing the Companies Act, the Securitization Law (TMK Law), the REIT Law and other financial areas. He was also engaged in the preparation, revision and formulation of the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act (June 2004 - June 2005).
He has also worked for Slaughter and May in London as a foreign visiting associate (September 2006 - March 2007).
