The team has many years of experience representing both creditors and debtors during insolvency/liquidation proceedings.  The firm offers restructuring solutions including schemes of compromise with creditors, restructuring and re-organisations.<br><br>BBL has experience in drafting petitions for liquidation of medium size to large companies, advising liquidators, filing creditors ‘claims and representing clients in proving their claims in court. The firm also advises and assists directors to ensure they meet their obligations in circumstances where the company is insolvent, advising on reckless trading, transactions defrauding creditors and undue preference, amongst others. Some of the firm’s lawyers have extensive experience as trustees, liquidators, statutory managers and curators.<br><br>Members of the team have advised on the following notable liquidations in Botswana:<br><br>•    Hyundai Motors (Pty) Ltd - acted as Counsel for the petitioner;<br>•    Diamonex Botswana Limited – judicial management, acted for leading European Bank;<br>•    Lobtrans (Pty) Limited – acted for a creditor, a leading financial institution;<br>•    Tannery Botswana - acted for a major creditor;<br>•    Kimbo Investments (Pty) Limited -  arranged a compromise with creditors;<br>•    Kentz Botswana (Pty) Limited -acted on behalf of the liquidator;<br>•    VPB PropCo (Pty) Limited (Kentucky Fried Chicken – Franchisee in Botswana) - acted on behalf of the petitioning creditor, a leading financial institution.<br><br><b>Onalenna Otlaadisa Diloro</b><br><br>Onalenna Otlaadisa Diloro has ten years’ experience and she has handled many leading cases in commercial law in Botswana, primarily serving corporate clients. Her expertise includes shareholders’ disputes, enforcement of contracts, liquidations, insolvency and re-structuring.<br><br>In recent years, she gained practical experience in corporate transactions in banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, listings on the stock exchange, bond issues and schemes of arrangement. This is in addition to exposure to the international corporate atmosphere obtained whilst on secondment in the corporate department of Slaughter and May, where she assisted in various corporate transactions on the take-over code, sanctions, data protection laws, amongst others. She has recently completed a nine-month long secondment at one of the leading banks in Botswana. <br><br>Ms Diloro holds a Bachelors of Laws Degree from the University of Botswana and is admitted as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public.<br>
