Our Employment practice is centered in employer representation and has a concentration on preventive and pro-active measures. The scope of work goes from compensation and benefits, to maintenance and day-to-day support for our corporate and institutional clients, ranging from small operations, to some of the largest private employers in the Central American region.
Born in San José, Costa Rica, 1971; admitted as Attorney in 1997. Education: Universidad Internacional de las Americas, Universidad Panamericana (Licentiate in Law, 1996); Universidad Latina, Centro de Posgrados (LL.M. in Corporate Labour Law, 2014); Data Privacy (Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, 2016). Candidate Organizational Psychology Masters Degree, Universidad Latina, Centro de Posgrados.
Alvaro is a partner in Aguilar Castillo Love and he heads the employment & labor law practice. He was admitted as an Attorney & Public Notary in 1997 at the Costa Rican Bar Association and joined Aguilar Castillo Love in 2008.
He has an LLM degree in Labour Law from the Universidad Latina de Costa Rica and is candidate on the Organizational Psychology Masters Degree, Universidad Latina.
Alvaro has a particular focus on corporate employment law and labour relations, advising clients on several cross-border (Central America) issues including contracts and policy reviews, as well as employment issues in the context of M&A deals.
Currently he is also a member of the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association and he has been ranked by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners.
